Post Eight, Big Beer Weekend
Greetings all! I wanted to take some time to write about all of the awesome stuff we have coming up this weekend, it would be too much to blast out on social media separately and some of you may not be on our mailing list. So I apologize for this being wordy, please stay with me, you'll be glad you did!
Today is my birthday, unfortunately we aren't open so my birthday party is extending into this weekend in the tasting room. In true birthday fashion, presents are in store - these ones are for you to enjoy. We are going to be rotating through variants very sporadically this weekend because we have a lot going on. Here we go:
Have no fear - Brownie, Populous, City Limits, Charrette and One Way (El Dorado) will be on tap all weekend.
Thursday - We are introducing the pilot batch of 1871, our mega-tasty Barleywine. KGOV smoked porter, Urban Decay (Tart Cherry) and City Limits (Double Dry Hop) will be on as well, when the DDH City Limits kicks (and it will) we are bringing on version 2 of Coconut Brownie. It's awesome.
Friday - We will keep 1871 Barleywine on, KGOV smoked porter will be on as well. If the Barleywine kicks we will reintroduce a keg of Populous (Vanilla). We will see how it goes, we've got stuff on deck.
Saturday - Happy Urban Decay Day to us all! We will have the five usual beers on tap, we are untapping all other variants and new beers, cleaning the lines and putting on EXCLUSIVELY variants of Urban Decay. No pints, just 4oz tastings and Decay flights. We have sixtels of Red Wine barrel aged, Bourbon barrel aged, Tart Cherry, Creamsicle, plus a special nitro variant. Growler fills of only Urban Decay and the Tart Cherry variant. If we blow through any of the sixtel variants we will reintroduce KGOV, 1871 and if you're all well behaved we may pop the pilot batch of Born to Ruin DIPA (big batch brewed yesterday, available later this month!)
Sunday - If Born to Ruin doesn't get tapped on Urban Decay day, it will definitely be on. Sunday we will have a nice mix of Decay Day leftovers, new beers and the usual varieties that we are mixing in all weekend.
